Bernard Betel Centre Hosting Elder Abuse Conference

On Friday, March 9, 2018, thanks to funding provided by the Province of Ontario, the Bernard Betel Centre in partnership with Elder Abuse Ontario is hosting a province-wide conference “Elder Abuse in Ethnic Communities: Aging in a New Country”. This conference will feature lectures by keynote speakers, engaging workshops and a panel discussion by experienced professionals working directly with immigrant seniors and their families. It will address a multitude of issues faced by seniors in general and immigrant seniors in particular.

Participants will be able to share best practices and learn more about resources available in the community. The conference is aimed towards professionals, working with immigrant seniors, and students, planning to work in the gerontology field.
