Lifelong Learning Institute (LLI)

Seniors are invited to participate in lectures, led by experts in their field or university professors, about arts and culture, history, current events, religion, travel, and more. In addition to lectures, LLI also provides discussion groups, book and creative-writing clubs, and manages the Centre’s library, which includes English, Russian and Yiddish books and audiotapes. The concept of human potential will be examined in this eight week course. What great accomplishments have we completed as a species? How will space exploration unfold? What are the greatest achievements of past civilizations in medicine or in exploration? What is the capacity of the body to heal itself through self-repair in our DNA? What is meant by the idea “potential?” Are we much more than we appear to be? All these ideas and more will be explored. Includes certificate of completion.
