Friendly Visitors

Friendly Visiting creates lasting, meaningful relationships between seniors and volunteers. With regular friendly visits, isolated seniors experience improved physical, mental and emotional health and gain a more positive outlook.

No clinical care is required – Hours are flexible and are negotiated between the senior and volunteer. Clients live in North York and Thornhill, primarily along the Bathurst Corridor.

Meals on Wheels Volunteers

Help contribute to the homebound seniors’ ability to remain independent in their homes by ensuring they have access to hot, nutritious, Kosher meals. Meals are delivered in the following areas: Centre St., Vaughan (north)/Wilson (south)/Dufferin (west)/Yonge (east).

We are currently seeking volunteers to take on a regular weekly shift. Shifts run from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Can’t commit to a regular schedule? We always have space for ‘back up’ drivers who can assist at short notice.

Meals on Wheels volunteers must have access to their own vehicle; have a valid driver’s license and personal automobile insurance; and have a good driving record.
