Betel Trip to Russia and the Baltic States

Earlier this month, thirty-four members of the Bernard Betel Centre returned from a 2-week escorted trip to Russia and the Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. For some it was a first, once-in-a-life-time exploration of the cities of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tallinn, Riga, and Vilnius. For others it was a trip back to their birthplaces and childhood.

From the majesty of the Russian Empire palaces, the grandeur of the Kremlin and Red Square to the medieval colourful streets of Tallinn, and the exquisitely reconstructed synagogues of Riga and Vilnius, it was indeed an educational and moving experience for all.

In one of those totally unexpected, yet marvelous experiences, one of our members happened to locate the grave stone of her late husband’s parents, who are interred in the Vilnius Jewish cemetery we visited.

This was only one of a number of successful overnight trips designed and escorted by Bernard Betel Centre. Perhaps you’ll join us on one of our upcoming trips?

On Thursday, October 25, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, join us at our Travel Expo to preview our upcoming travel destinations and register on the spot!
