Did you know that Giving Tuesday is a National Giving Day?
Most people know about Black Friday and Cyber Monday, but not everyone knows about Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a Canadian movement for giving and volunteering, taking place each year after Cyber Monday. Giving Tuesday is in its sixth year and takes place Tuesday, November 27, 2018. Referred to as the “opening day of the giving season” it is a day where charities, companies and individuals join together to share commitments, rally for their favourite causes, and think about others. It is a day that charities reach out to their communities asking for financial support.
This is the third year that the Bernard Betel Centre will be participating in Giving Tuesday and we are asking for your support. As most not-for-profit organizations, we have been held at the same funding amounts by government and community funders for the past 10 years. In order to sustain our current programs and services, we must rely on the generous financial support of our donors. We need your help!
