Throughout the fall, we were pleased to once again participate in the United Way Greater Toronto Day of Caring initiative. We welcomed a total of 47 corporate volunteers from Enterprise Holding Inc., Enbridge and 2 groups from BMO – Bank of Montreal who assisted with our Meals on Wheels program. These volunteers delivered fresh, kosher meals to 221 clients in the community. In addition to the volunteers from the 3 companies, we were joined by United Way Greater Toronto sponsored employees who updated us on the campaign and helped deliver the meals. This was a great opportunity for employees to learn about the agencies that are supported by the United Way and see firsthand how their donations are being used to benefit people who are in need throughout our community.
The Bernard Betel Centre was honoured to participate in this initiative and we look forward to welcoming more corporate groups to our centre in 2019.
