On Thursday, July 18 a group of 34 Betel members returned from a remarkable trip visiting our Maritime Provinces and Newfoundland. Highlights included visits to historic Pier 21 in Halifax, the Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick, Anne of Green Gables Heritage Place, the Cabot Trail, and Gros Morne Park and Signal Hill in Newfoundland. Our members were inspired by the laid-back, friendly and hospitable nature of the locals, awed by the majesty of the geography and thrilled by the sight of whales, puffins, icebergs and the odd moose. Travel was by luxury coach and a well-equipped and comfortable over-night ferry from North Sydney to Port aux Basques.
