Meals on Wheels Volunteers Urgently Needed for the Winter Months

As we approach the winter season,  some of  our regular Meals on Wheels volunteers travel south to escape the cold and snow. It is also a time when our seniors rely most on the Meals on Wheels program as the weather brings an increase in loneliness and isolation.

Over the next few months, we will need additional volunteer drivers to fill the gap. Can you help?

  • Do you have a couple of hours once a week to brighten the spirits of our seniors by providing them with food and friendship?
  • Do you enjoy winter driving and being outdoors?

This winter, consider joining our Meals on Wheels volunteers team. It will be an experience you will cherish.

“In general the more we give and do good for people in need, the happier we feel. It provides a sense of accomplishment and gives you a sense of pride. Meals on Wheels is a service for seniors, faced with limitations and loneliness. Through this  program, clients receive nutritious meals and benefit from human interaction, especially during the winter season.”
