The rise in overt displays of anti-semitism in recent weeks have been extremely difficult for all of us in the Jewish community here in Toronto and around the world. The Bernard Betel Centre has joined with B’nai B’rith, Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center for Holocaust Studies, UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, the Centre for Israel and Jewish Affairs, and more than 200 community organizations to stand against anti-semitic hate. Read our statement from early June HERE.
All of us in the community have a right to live in dignity and free from discrimination, hate, and violence. If you witness anti-semitism or are targeted by anti-semitism, you are not alone. For information about how to report these incidents, please visit the UJA’s Community Security page HERE.
