Rosh Hashanah is a time to reflect and to look forward to a better year ahead. The last 18 months have been a marathon! Hopefully, the finish line for this pandemic is around the corner, but the 4th wave is upon us so it’s not over yet. We have to stay vigilant and protect each other. That’s why this year’s Annual General Meeting will once again be held virtually, and our recreation programs will stay online for the time being.
But, there are reasons for optimism. Some of us will celebrate the Chag with our family and friends for the first time in two years. For those who cannot get together with others, you are missed and we can’t wait to have everyone back to the Centre. Betel’s Return to Work Planning and Program Committee, including many dedicated staff and Board members, is working to safely reopen in the months ahead when we are able to. We are now renovating our bathrooms and kitchen to make the Centre a safer, more accessible space for everyone.
You can also help keep our community safe and help us reopen. Please get vaccinated as soon as possible if you have not done so already.
Wishing you and your families a Shana Tova U’Metukah – a sweet and happy new year.
