Health, Safety & COVID-19

Masking Policy Update:

The health and safety of Bernard Betel Centre members, volunteers, staff, and the community is our priority. In response to the latest guidance from the Ministry for Seniors and Accessibility, and following a comprehensive review of our health and safety measures, we are updating our masking policy. These changes are effective immediately and are summarized as follows:

Updated Masking Policy for Staff, Volunteers, Members, and Visitors:

  • Masks remain optional for staff, volunteers, members and visitors, but are strongly recommended while in crowded spaces and when you are within 2 meters of another individual for 15 minutes or longer. Medical-grade masks are available at all entrances of the Bernard Betel Centre.
  • Staff, volunteers, members, and visitors may still join in for sharing a meal or beverage in the Bernard Betel Centre Café without a mask.
  • All chiropody patients are strongly recommended to wear a mask during your appointment with the chiropodist. Please ensure your face mask is properly fitted (covering your nose and mouth) if wearing one.
