Don’t Forget to Get Your Flu Shot!

To keep Ontarians healthy this flu season and prevent unnecessary visits to the hospital, flu shots are now available for seniors and others most at risk for complications from the flu. Flu shots will be available to all Ontarians starting in November. For more information about the flu, please click HERE and speak to your doctor or pharmacy.

The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care recommends the flu shot for everyone 6 months old and older, it is available at participating pharmacies, doctors, nurse practitioners or at a local public health unit. For a flu shot at a doctor’s office, please speak with your health care provider. A doctor’s office will generally require an OHIP card, although some community health care centres offer flu clinics that do not require OHIP coverage.

In Toronto, flu vaccines will be administered by appointment only at each of the City of Toronto’s five mass immunization clinics. On October 27, 2021, all Toronto residents will be able to start booking their appointment at https://www.tphbookings.ca. At this time, we do not have any flu shot clinics planned at the Bernard Betel Centre.
