The Bernard Betel Centre’s Lifetime Achievement Award for Artistic Excellence (formerly the Tribute Event), which was scheduled to take place on December 12, 2024, has been rescheduled to the Spring of 2025.
The event will now take place in two separate formats. On Sunday, April 27, 2025 at 7:00 pm, the Lifetime Achievement Award for Artistic Excellence will take place at the private residence of Leslie and Anna Dan in Toronto. This exclusive event will welcome major gifts donors to an award presentation to the artist recipient, B.R. Schwartz. On a later date, we will be hosting an exhibit of B.R. Schwartz’s work at a Toronto art gallery, which will display sculptures and other works on paper. The art will be for sale with a portion of the proceeds going toward the Bernard Betel Centre’s Supporting Our Seniors (SOS): Meals Initiative. The date and venue for the gallery event will be announced soon. Once confirmed, tickets will be available for purchase.
