Important Update from the Trips & Travel Team

Cancellation of the April and May 2024 Trips to Israel

We have been watching the developments in Israel, day by day, minute by minute. Our hearts and support continue to be with the victims of October 7 and their families, the hostages, and the soldiers of the IDF. We are praying for the safe return of all, hostages and soldiers in Gaza, and those soldiers on the northern border.

Our primary consideration when executing trips is to ensure the safety of each traveller. It is imperative that any Betel trip to Israel does not become a burden for the country but rather a welcome show of support and provide much needed economic benefit and moral support. In light of the continued challenges Israel is facing, we have made the unfortunate but appropriate decision to cancel both the April and May 2024 trips. We know this is a disappointment, but in good conscience we could not proceed with this trip and ensure the safety of the participants.

We are being optimistic and have begun the process of organizing a 2025 trip to Israel, April 21 to May 5, 2025. It is our intention and hope to replicate the itinerary we had in place for this year, but are unable to confirm a final cost at this time. This information will be communicated as soon as possible once we get confirmation from hotels, Air Canada, and our Israel travel agent.

Unfortunately, this is the second set of trips to Israel Betel has had to cancel. While frustrating and disappointing, it is the correct decision. We are continuing to build and offer a range of travel opportunities and hope you will consider joining us on some of them. Trips we are currently planning include California and Nevada, Banff, Jasper and Alaska, a Caribbean Cruise, and more. Our trips will be promoted on our website, Travel E-Newsletter, social media, flyers, and publications.
