$150,000 Ontario Trillium Foundation Grant Provides Improved Air Quality for Seniors

The Bernard Betel Centre is pleased to be the recipient of an Ontario Trillium Foundation (OTF) Capital grant for $150,000 to address a community need by replacing six heating and ventilation units to improve air quality, energy efficiency and safety for those attending our programs. The funding provided by OTF has made a incredible difference to the organization and the seniors that the agency serves every day. The building at 1003 Steeles Avenue West was built in the early 1980s, and the ability to maintain the aging infrastructure is extremely challenging and financially limiting. With these funds, the Bernard Betel Centre was able to replace this critical infrastructure and provided a safer environment for seniors in the community.
