Spreading Joy: Atid Chapter of CHW Delivers Purim Cheer to Healthy at Home

On March 20, we were very pleased to welcome Shayla Gunter-Goldstein, President of the Atid Chapter of Canadian Hadassah-WIZO (CHW) to our Healthy at Home location at Bathurst and Finch. Rhoda Madorsky had reached out to the Bernard Betel Centre to be part of this wonderful event she coordinated. As part of their Purim project, Shayla was there to bring gift baskets – Mishloach Manot – and celebrate Purim with our seniors. The group collected donations from various vendors in the community and put together bags filled with treats including Hamantashen, sweets and grape juice. Our seniors were surprised and overjoyed to receive these special gifts. Many thanks to the Atid Chapter of CHW for bringing joy and fun to our Purim festivities.

Canadian Hadassah-WIZ (CHW) is a non-political, non-partisan, national network of dedicated volunteers who engage in programming and fundraising to support programs for women and children. CHW believes that excellence and advancement of education, healthcare, and social services transcends politics, religion, and national boundaries.

We would like to thank the following vendors for their contribution to the Atid Chapter Purim initiative: Anthony’s No Frills; Carlo’s No Frills; FreshCo Bathurst/Steeles; Highland Farms; Metro Bathurst/Steeles; Promote Me (Shelley Feldman); Slice ‘N Bites Kosher pizza and sushi; Sobeys Kosher Market Clark/Hilda; Sweets from the Earth and FreshCO Carrville/Bathurst.
