Recently a group of Betel members returned from a two week cruise of the Western Mediterranean, tanned, invigorated, relaxed, but definitely not prepared for the winter that arrived on November 11th! Memories of the sun, sand and sea, and all the good times, however, will carry us through the next few cold, winter months.
We sailed on the MSC Poesia, a mid-sized ship of 3,000+ passengers and 1,000+ staff who catered to all our needs. It was a comfortable cruise ship, the cabins were clean, there was more than sufficient delicious cuisine, and the around the clock, engaging on-board entertainment was wonderful.
The highlights of the trip were clearly the incredible ports of call we visited and explored, eight in total. From the hustle and bustle of the Casablanca markets, to the glorious scenery of the Canary and Madeira Islands, to walking the ancient stones of Rome and Genoa, we experienced different cultures, heard a plethora of languages, ate and drank local delights, and above all, learned and experienced a lot, relaxed and built new friendships.
